About Team Booba’licious

Team Booba’licious consists of a group of friends all committed to raising money for breast cancer research. We’re all different people who share one thing in common- we have all been touched by the disease in some way and we want to do what we can, however small, to find a cure.

This year will be our third year participating in the CIBC Run for the Cure. It’s a 5 km walk through downtown Montreal. The first year our team participated, we made the cover of the Montreal Gazette. The second year, our picture was one of only six to make it onto a leading breast cancer research website. My point? We’re pretty good at bringing attention to ourselves to get our message out… This year, we’re using that to our advantage and are committed to raising at least $12,000 to the cause.  And we want everyone to know! Instead of asking friends and family a few weeks before the walk to donate, this year we’ve organized a full fledged fundraising campaign. We’ve organized at least one activity per month and some months will be more. We’re capitalizing on group members’ talents such as making and selling handmade items to raise money. We’re telling everyone we know what we’re doing! We’ve set up this blog, created business cards, set up a group page on Facebook  (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2406586879) … anything we can!

This blog will be updated on a regular basis to keep readers informed about upcoming events and to give results from past events. Please check often!
